Week 4 Artifact Reflection and Showcase Debut

1. Identify at least two elements of TPE Standard 6 (Developing as a Professional Educator) that are relevant to the assignment/artifact that you have chosen.  Element 3- I made progress to improve upon my written work with the collaboration of another student.  Throughout the week, I routinely checked in with my colleague, engaging communication for the betterment of my essay and experience. Element 4- I demonstrated inquiry of my student assessment as it would relate to a larger community not just that of my own self preservation. 2. My responsibility for educating my students in the area of Language Arts will be extremely enthusiastic given Chomsky's Theory of Language and Development...As a Professor from the prestigious MIT, what an honor to convey his theory and passion for linguistics.  Chomsky's Learning Theory: Chomsky suggests that language is something structured by children themselves. Hearing only a fragmentary body of speech, they nevertheless discover its rules guided by an innate sense of what the rules must be like. Learning theorists, in contrast, believe we must look to the social environment for the source of linguistic patterning. Language, in their view, is shaped primarily by others through operant conditioning or through modeling influences.
